About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (Germany Branch). As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, construction, and operation of our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for data centers, including cooling systems, power distribution systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical systems meet the needs of our customers and are aligned with AWS's overall strategy.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of our data centers.
  • Work closely with our operations team to ensure that our data centers are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to our construction and commissioning teams to ensure that our data centers are built and operated to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on data centers or similar critical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including cooling systems, power distribution systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel to data centers and other locations as needed.
