About the Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our Technical Service Team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, training, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment.

This is a full-time position in Darmstadt, offering a modern and collaborative work environment. If you have experience working with laboratory equipment, we encourage you to apply.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate pipettes on-site
  • Install, train, maintain, calibrate, and repair various laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, air samplers, centrifuges, cabinets, ovens)
  • Plan and execute field service activities independently in consultation with the service team
  • Procure spare parts and manage the spare parts inventory, taking into account customer needs and cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare and submit service reports in a timely manner

What You Bring:

  • Completed training as an electrician, mechatronics engineer, or equivalent qualification
  • Good knowledge of laboratory equipment
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage
  • Good English language skills in writing and speaking
  • Dynamic and safe behavior, as well as excellent service and customer orientation
  • Engagement and self-motivation, as well as a structured, systematic, and team-oriented way of working
  • High travel readiness
