Automation Service Engineer

Valmet is a leading global developer and supplier of technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Service Engineer to join our team in Central Europe.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the implementation of projects in the field of paper and finishing on paper/cardboard and tissue machines
  • Optimize technical solutions, modernize existing systems, and program automation systems
  • Identify automation problems and support in troubleshooting
  • Responsible for implementation and coordination of orders
Requirements:
  • Completed further training as a bachelor, technician, or master craftsman in the field of electrical engineering or automation technology
  • Technical training in the aforementioned areas and a very high level of motivation
  • Experience in systematic troubleshooting and resolving technical faults
  • Knowledge of programming and commissioning automation systems is advantageous
  • Fluent German and very good English skills, a strong team spirit, and a willingness to travel on business trips lasting several days
