About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child and Youth Care Specialist to join our team at Technische Jugendfreizeit- und Bildungsgesellschaft gGmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and guidance to children and young people aged 10-17 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and interactive programs for children and young people, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families, providing individualized support and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver programs that meet the diverse needs of our clients, including those with special needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the safety and well-being of children and young people.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in child and youth care.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support services to children and young people.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in child and youth care, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a commitment to promoting the safety and well-being of children and young people.
