Operations Support Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Chicago Youth Centers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, as well as providing transportation services for our youth.
Key Responsibilities- Daily Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; Empty all waste baskets; Sweep, mop and disinfect floors; Vacuum rugs; Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks and mirrors using established practices and procedures.
- Driving Responsibilities: Pick up youth from various community schools and deliver to Center; Work with Program Manager to create a transportation schedule; Establish relationships with school personnel; Manage the cleanliness of vans weekly; Monitor vans for routine and emergency maintenance and repairs.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of related experience in cleaning and maintenance.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers license in Illinois; Must pass DMV and criminal background check.
- Skills: Ability to climb ladders; Ability to travel between various CYC sites; Skill in using cleaning products and equipment; Basic computer skills; Bilingual language ability is a plus (Spanish-speaking); Knowledge of health, fire and safety codes.
