Internship in Automated Software Testing for Drive Systems

Position Overview:

As an intern in the Drive Application department at Mercedes-Benz AG, you will engage in innovative research and development focused on the driveability and operational strategies for our next-generation vehicles, including both hybrid and fully electric models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in independent projects within the development team.
  • Conduct and analyze Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) tests, preparing results for departmental review.
  • Adjust and validate test scenarios on designated test vehicles.
  • Utilize Vector CANape and MATLAB for measurement analysis and evaluation.
  • Develop new methodologies to enhance component control, driveability, and engine start-up processes for plug-in hybrid vehicles.
  • Manage software project versions using GitHub.
  • Regularly present findings and updates to the team.
  • Update control units within the powertrain systems.
  • Assist in daily operational tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C, Java, Python, or MATLAB is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Structured, committed, and goal-oriented approach to work.
