Galileo Network Operations Engineer

Overview:

As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of our Galileo Networks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the engineering and service troubleshooting of all Galileo Networks, ensuring readiness for live operations.
  • Support the Network Coordinator in managing engineering processes and coordinating network operations.
  • Identify and analyze issues affecting the Galileo Service, collaborating with various teams to resolve them.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to address technical issues related to Galileo LAN/WAN.
  • Monitor deployment planning and scheduling of network assets, assessing impacts on operational activities.
  • Lead the Net Change Control Board, ensuring effective coordination across operations teams.
  • Manage engineering and deployment activities, including site acceptance and network acceptance reviews.
  • Facilitate local network operations teams, ensuring harmonization of operational concepts and procedures.
  • Define and maintain procedures for LAN and WAN network operations.
  • Propose and manage troubleshooting activities for incidents that may impact service delivery.
  • Produce technical documentation, reports, and regular status updates on activities.
  • Support the maintenance of the Risk Register, reviewing it periodically based on new developments.

Your Profile:

  • University degree in a relevant field such as Telecommunications, Electronics, or Engineering.
  • Experience in Networking Systems Engineering or Ground Segment Operations.
  • Proficient in managing technical teams and solving complex problems.
  • Fluent in English, with additional language skills in Italian or German being advantageous.
  • Skilled in standard office automation tools.
