Overview:
We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and enhance our Galileo Networks infrastructure. This role involves comprehensive engineering oversight and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee engineering and service troubleshooting for all Galileo Networks, ensuring seamless end-to-end management.
- Support the Network Coordinator in engineering processes and harmonize operational preparations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues affecting the Galileo Service.
- Engage with GSOp Core Team Members and external service providers to address technical challenges.
- Coordinate deployment planning and assess impacts on operational activities.
- Lead the Net Change Control Board (CCB) to manage lifecycle completion of Change Requests (CCRs).
- Manage engineering and deployment activities, including site acceptance reviews.
- Facilitate local network operations teams to ensure cohesive operational concepts and procedures.
- Define and maintain procedures for LAN and WAN network operations.
- Identify opportunities for operational and security improvements across networks.
- Support formal reviews and boards, providing necessary inputs and progress reports.
- Interface with other roles to ensure seamless collaboration on network-related issues.
- Propose troubleshooting activities for incidents that may impact service delivery.
- Generate technical documentation, including reports and status updates.
- Monitor progress on anomaly resolutions and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a comprehensive database for network troubleshooting activities.
- Regularly update the Risk Register related to network systems and infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Informatics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Proven expertise in Networking Systems Engineering or Ground Segment Operations.
- Experience in Ground/Networks Systems AIV or Operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Fluent in English, with additional language skills in Italian or German preferred.
- Proficient in standard office software and tools.
