Network Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Rivada Space Networks GmbH. As a key member of our system engineering team, you will play a critical role in the planning and design of our constellation network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create IP addressing and MPLS switching plans to ensure optimal network performance
  • Implement routing protocols to ensure seamless network connectivity
  • Develop simulations scenarios using network simulation tools to test and refine network designs
  • Troubleshoot network issues using packet analysis tools to ensure minimal downtime
  • Refine and formulate requirements for network design to ensure consistency and completeness of scope
  • Interface with network operations preparation team to consolidate network operations scenarios
  • Prepare network flow diagrams for various network operational scenarios
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • At least 10 years of experience working in a telecoms environment
  • At least 3 years of experience working with MPLS in a large network operator environment
  • Experience with MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, LDP, and MPLS Traffic Engineering
  • Strong skills in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and Spanning Tree Protocol
  • Proficiency in Linux operational systems
  • Python programming skills
  • Experience with Network Simulation tools (Dynamips, GNS3)
  • Experience with packet analysis tools
  • Basic knowledge of mobile networks (LTE and 5G)
  • Desirable CCNP certification
  • Fluency in English language
