Overview:
As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functioning of the Galileo Networks. Your role will encompass a variety of engineering and troubleshooting tasks to maintain the integrity and performance of our network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the engineering and service troubleshooting of all Galileo Networks, ensuring readiness for live operations.
- Support the Network Coordinator in managing engineering processes and harmonizing operational activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues affecting the Galileo Service.
- Engage with GSOp Core Team Members and external service providers to address technical challenges.
- Coordinate deployment planning and scheduling of network assets, analyzing operational impacts.
- Lead the Network Change Control Board (CCB) to manage the lifecycle of change requests.
- Manage engineering and deployment activities, including site acceptance reviews.
- Facilitate formal reviews and boards, providing essential inputs and progress reports.
- Maintain and update operational procedures for LAN and WAN networks.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of network operations and security engineering.
- Produce technical documentation, including reports and status updates.
- Support the maintenance of a workaround database for troubleshooting activities.
- Regularly review and update the Risk Register for network systems.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Informatics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Proven expertise in Networking Systems Engineering and Ground Segment Operations.
- Experience in Ground/Networks Systems AIV or Operations.
- Strong problem analysis and team management skills.
- Fluent in English, with additional proficiency in Italian and/or German preferred.
- Proficient in standard office automation tools.
