Internal Quality and Risk Compliance Auditor

The International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1) is a new benchmark relevant to all auditing firms providing services under its scope. As we implement this new standard, we aim to enhance the strength and effectiveness of our internal control system, focusing on improving our service delivery. All internal controls that form part of our "System of Quality Management" (SoQM) are tested annually by an independent internal team from the Quality & Risk Management department.
Your Responsibilities
If you are enthusiastic about risk management and wish to support the Quality & Risk Management sector, you can contribute significantly:
- Conduct control assessments (Testing) following KPMG's standardized methodological guidelines.
- Engage directly with our process and control owners to gather information regarding the controls and underlying processes to be tested.
- Document your testing activities and results exclusively in a digital format.
- As appropriate to your testing role, assist in addressing audit findings.
- Support your team lead with reporting and management tasks when necessary.
Gain valuable insights into KPMG's quality assurance system, which you will help shape in your role.
Your Profile
- To become an Internal Quality and Risk Compliance Auditor with us, you should possess a completed university degree, preferably in business administration or economics.
- You should have 2-3 years of experience in auditing or reviewing financial statements or internal control assessments (ideally with SOX - 'Sarbanes Oxley' experience).
- Experience in "Risk and Compliance" is advantageous.
- Familiarity with corporate process landscapes, preferably from large enterprises, is essential.
- Solid IT skills and a keen interest in the digitalization of work processes and auditing tools are required.
- Attributes such as responsibility, conflict resolution skills, initiative, and strong organizational and time management abilities are essential. You should also be able to remain objective while questioning and challenging processes.
- Team spirit is crucial: we work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams towards a common goal.
- Fluency in both German and English is necessary to complete your qualifications.
