Experienced System Safety Specialist (d/f/m)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Safety Specialist to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest safety standards and are developed, designed, produced, and supported in accordance with the latest safety regulations and guidelines.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct autonomous safety assessments, including Functional Hazard Assessment, System Safety Assessment, Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis, for military aircraft and systems.
- Conduct risk analyses to ensure adequate levels of quality and compliance with applicable guidance and standards.
- Develop and manage safety requirements, safety evidence, safety procedures, and limitations, and interface with other technical domains.
- Ensure influence on aircraft/systems architecture development to meet required safety/integrity standards.
- Act as the main interface for safety-related topics at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, including Chief Engineering, Project Management, Design Teams, Airworthiness Authorities, Industrial Partners, Customers, and Suppliers.
- Continuously improve analysis tool environments and processes.
- Support quotations and planning activities.
- Support and mentor new Safety Engineers.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a similar discipline.
- Several years of working experience in the safety environment or a similar area.
- Comprehensive System Safety Assessment experience, with Safety Tools/Methods, e.g., Isograph FaultTree+.
- Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems, preferably for Combat Aircraft and System Engineering Processes.
- Remarkable problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced skills with MS Office.
- Good communication skills and strong problem-solving capability.
- Very good English language skills, German language desirable.
