Job Title: Experienced System Safety Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced System Safety Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct safety assessments for military aircraft and systems, ensuring adequate quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards, supporting the continuous development of our aircraft.
  • Develop and manage safety requirements, safety evidence, and safety procedures, collaborating with other technical domains.
  • Ensure the influence of safety on aircraft/systems architecture development, aligning with required safety/integrity standards.
  • Act as the main interface for safety-related topics with internal and external stakeholders, including airworthiness authorities, industrial partners, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in the safety environment or a similar area, with comprehensive system safety assessment experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, preferably for combat aircraft and system engineering processes.
  • Remarkable problem-solving capabilities and advanced skills with MS Office.
  • Good communication skills and strong problem-solving capability.
  • Very good English language skills, with German language desirable.
