Experienced System Safety Specialist

System Safety Engineer (d/f/m)
We are seeking a highly skilled System Safety Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to certification.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct Safety assessments for military aircraft and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement safety requirements, procedures, and limitations to ensure the safe operation of our products.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, airworthiness authorities, and customers, to ensure safety-related topics are addressed.
- Support the development of safety procedures and tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety processes.
- Act as a mentor and support the development of new Safety Engineers.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in the safety environment or a similar area.
- Comprehensive System Safety Assessment experience, with knowledge of safety tools and methods.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems, preferably for combat aircraft and system engineering processes.
- Remarkable problem-solving capabilities and advanced skills with MS Office.
- Good communication skills and strong problem-solving capability.
- Very good English language skills, with German language desirable.
