Your key responsibilities:

The Supplier Engineer proactively addresses internal and external business challenges and regulatory concerns; suggesting enhancements to processes, products, or services. This role involves solving unique and intricate problems that significantly affect the organization. The individual contributes to the formulation of functional strategies and leads project teams to meet key milestones and objectives.

  • Responsible for enhancing and optimizing supplier operations and quality. This includes collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and occasionally, end-user customers as part of a comprehensive problem-solving team.
  • Address issues and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve product or process failures that affect our manufacturing facilities or end-user clients.
  • Specifically: Directs supplier audit processes, assesses supplier performance and capabilities, and drives continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations. Oversees quality issue resolutions and incident management, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions. Identifies and implements broad-based systemic solutions at the process level (lean management). Progresses in understanding corporate compliance, industry standards, and best practice methodologies. Utilizes enterprise-wide software to manage and document quality issues, focusing on Containment, Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Corrective Action Verification.

Your education and experience:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SSG product hardware and systems.
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic familiarity with Quality Management Systems, including internal auditing and quality risk management tools such as FMEA and Quality Planning.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a solid understanding of good manufacturing practices for various supplier fabrication processes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for business to customers or headquarters, up to 25%.
