Your primary responsibilities include:

The Supplier Engineer proactively addresses internal and external business challenges and regulatory concerns, proposing enhancements to processes, products, or services. This role involves resolving unique and intricate issues that significantly impact the organization. The individual will contribute to the formulation of functional strategies and lead project teams to meet key milestones and objectives.

  • Accountable for the enhancement and optimization of supplier operations and quality. This involves collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and occasionally, end-user customers as part of a comprehensive problem-solving team.
  • Identify and resolve issues while working closely with suppliers and internal teams to mitigate product or process failures affecting our manufacturing sites or end-user clients.
  • Specifically: Oversee supplier audit processes, assess supplier performance and capabilities, and promote continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations. Lead quality issue resolutions and incident management, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions. Identify and implement broad-based systemic supplier solutions at the process level (lean management). Progress in understanding corporate compliance, industry standards, and best practices. Utilize enterprise-wide software to manage and document quality concerns, focusing on Containment, Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Corrective Action Verification.

Your qualifications and experience:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field, accompanied by a minimum of four years of professional experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SSG product hardware and systems.
  • Strong aptitude for technical problem-solving.
  • Basic familiarity with Quality Management Systems, including internal auditing and quality risk management tools such as FMEA and Quality Planning.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a solid understanding of good manufacturing practices across various supplier fabrication processes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Clear and efficient verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, including potential trips to Europe or the US headquarters, up to 25% of the time.
