Supplier Quality Engineer

Your primary responsibilities include:
The Supplier Engineer proactively addresses internal and external business challenges and regulatory concerns; suggests enhancements to processes, products, or services. This role involves resolving unique and intricate issues that significantly affect the organization. The individual contributes to the formulation of functional strategies and guides project teams to meet milestones and objectives.
- Accountable for enhancing supplier operations and quality. This involves collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and occasionally, end-user customers as part of a comprehensive problem-solving team.
- Identify and resolve issues while working with suppliers and internally to mitigate product or process failures impacting our manufacturing sites or end-user clients.
- Specifically: Directs supplier audit processes, assesses supplier performance and capabilities, and promotes continuous improvement initiatives at supplier locations. Manages quality issue resolutions and incident responses, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions. Recognizes and implements broad-based systemic supplier solutions at the process level (lean management). Progress in understanding corporate compliance, industry standards, and best practices. Utilize enterprise-wide software to manage and document quality issues, particularly in Containment, Root Cause, Corrective Action, and Corrective Action Verification.
Your qualifications and experience:
- A degree in engineering or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SSG product hardware and systems.
- Strong aptitude for technical problem-solving.
- Basic familiarity with Quality Management Systems, including internal auditing and quality and risk management tools such as FMEA and Quality Planning.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with an understanding of good manufacturing practices for various supplier fabrication processes.
- Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel for business, including trips to customers in Europe or the headquarters in the US, up to 25% of the time.
