Actuarial Analyst

Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a skilled Actuary / Mathematician / Property Casualty to enhance our Technical Underwriting team. This role is based at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany, and offers a permanent position.
Your Responsibilities:
- Automate underwriting workflows and innovate AI applications tailored for underwriting processes.
- Enhance data analysis methodologies for claims assessment.
- Conduct comprehensive portfolio evaluations and establish effective quotation metrics.
- Collaborate with external data repositories and refine analytical tools for motor third-party liability reinsurance.
- Develop and improve robust tools for analyzing motor TPL and NatCat risks as necessary.
Your Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in (business) mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience within the (re)insurance sector, particularly in property and casualty insurance.
- Proficient in data analytics with programming capabilities in R or Python.
- Actuarial training or a strong interest in pursuing such qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in German and at least conversational English.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- An international perspective and readiness for occasional business travel.
