About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Actuary / Mathematician / Property Casualty to enhance our Technical Underwriting team. This position is based at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany, and offers a permanent contract.
Your Responsibilities:
- Streamlining underwriting operations and innovating AI applications for underwriting processes.
- Enhancing data analysis methodologies for claims assessment.
- Conducting thorough portfolio evaluations and determining optimal quotation parameters.
- Assisting in the management of external data pools and refining analytical tools for motor third-party liability reinsurance.
- Developing robust tools for analyzing motor TPL and NatCat risks as required.
Your Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in (business) mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the (re)insurance sector, preferably with a focus on property and casualty insurance.
- Proficient in data analytics with programming expertise in R or Python.
- Background in actuarial science or a strong interest in pursuing actuarial training.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in German and at least conversational English.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach.
- An international perspective and readiness for occasional business travel.
