Job Overview

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies focused on renewable gas. This role requires strong leadership in managing supplier interactions and ensuring efficient order placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with renewable energy goals.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee all supplier-related procurement activities to foster long-term relationships.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee timely and accurate order placements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Issue Resolution: Coordinate site activities to address and resolve any non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to supply.
  • Claims Management: Address and resolve procurement-related claims effectively.
  • Profitability Enhancement: Identify opportunities for improving profitability and project timelines.
  • Operational Efficiency: Drive improvements in procurement operations to enhance effectiveness.
  • Supplier Fairness: Ensure equitable treatment of suppliers to cultivate enduring partnerships.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of procedures and enhancements within the procurement function.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Maintain clear communication regarding procurement activities across various departments.
  • Compliance Awareness: Uphold adherence to company processes while being mindful of compliance issues.
  • Department Support: Assist the department in achieving its strategic objectives.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements relevant to the role.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement within an international and technical EPC environment.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience with supplier contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a reputation for integrity.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive results.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to coordinate across various functions and locations.
  • Aptitude for training junior staff in procurement skills and effective communication.
  • Commitment to fostering collaboration based on company values.
  • Experience in applying best practices to solve complex procurement challenges.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and German.
