Position Overview

The role of the Procurement Manager is crucial in steering the development of innovative procurement strategies for renewable gas. This position entails a comprehensive ownership of all supplier-facing procurement activities, ensuring seamless coordination with internal stakeholders for timely order placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's sustainability goals.
  • Supplier Management: Oversee all supplier interactions to foster strong, long-term relationships.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all manufacturing processes meet quality standards, including the receipt of necessary quality documentation.
  • Issue Resolution: Coordinate site activities to address any non-conformance reports (NCRs) related to supply.
  • Claims Management: Resolve procurement-related claims efficiently.
  • Profitability Enhancement: Identify opportunities to enhance profitability and improve scheduling.
  • Operational Efficiency: Drive the effectiveness and efficiency of procurement operations.
  • Supplier Fairness: Ensure equitable treatment of suppliers to nurture long-lasting partnerships.
  • Process Improvement: Engage in the development of procedures and process enhancements within the procurement function.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate communication across various functions regarding procurement activities.
  • Compliance Awareness: Uphold adherence to company processes with a strong focus on compliance issues.
  • Department Support: Assist the department in achieving its strategic objectives.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a relevant field (Graduate or FH / TH).
  • Proven procurement experience in an international and technical EPC environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with supplier contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a reputation for integrity.
  • Demonstrated ownership in achieving optimal results.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to coordinate across functions and locations.
  • Able to mentor junior staff in specific procurement skills and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Promotes collaboration internally and externally based on company values.
  • Experienced in applying best practices to identify complex issues and implement holistic solutions.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office, including Excel (with Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English and German.
