Das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, an der Entwicklung nachhaltiger Technologien für die Luftfahrt mitzuarbeiten. Wir suchen einen Bachelor Thesis Studenten für die Forschung zu Wake Vortex Riding, einem neuen Ansatz zur Reduzierung von Treibhausgasemissionen in der Zivilluftfahrt.

Das Projekt

Wake Vortex Riding ist ein innovatives Konzept, das die Nutzung der Aufwinde hinter einem vorhergehenden Flugzeug ermöglicht. Ziel ist es, Treibhausgasemissionen durch die Reduzierung von Treibstoffverbrauch zu minimieren. Als Bachelor Thesis Student werden Sie an der Entwicklung von Anforderungen für Flugverfahren, Enroute-Geschwindigkeiten, Abstandsregelungen und Flughafenregelungen arbeiten, um die Machbarkeit von Formationflugverfahren in verschiedenen Szenarien zu untersuchen.

Ihre Aufgaben
  • Recherche zu Wake Vortex Riding und Flugverfahren in der Zivilluftfahrt durchführen
  • Anforderungen für Flugverfahren, Enroute-Geschwindigkeiten, Abstandsregelungen und Flughafenregelungen entwickeln
  • Margens für Startzeiten, Flugdistanzen und Abstandszeiten für Formationflugverfahren ermitteln
Ihre Qualifikationen
  • fast abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik oder einem verwandten Fach
  • Kenntnisse in Programmiersprachen wie Python3 (optional)
  • gute Englischkenntnisse (schriftlich und mündlich)
