**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Software Engineer to join our team at the German Aerospace Center. As a key member of our climate modeling team, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving our climate model using quantum machine learning techniques.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement quantum machine learning algorithms to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our climate model
- Collaborate with our team of researchers and developers to integrate quantum computing capabilities into our climate model
- Conduct simulations and comparisons with conventional climate models to evaluate the effectiveness of our quantum-enhanced model
- Provide technical support to our team in the development and deployment of our climate model
- Work with our ESMValTool team to evaluate the simulations and provide insights for model improvement
**Requirements**
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
- Strong background in quantum computing and machine learning
- Experience with climate modeling and simulation
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or C++
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
