Job Title: LDACS Datalink Requirements Analyst

The Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) is a leading research center in the field of aerospace and aeronautics. We are seeking a highly motivated Master Student to contribute to our research team at the Institute of Communications and Navigation in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication link requirements for wake vortex riding procedures using LDACS
  • Analyze factors such as throughput, latency, communication range, cybersecurity, and integration with flight procedures
  • Contribute to fuel savings in civil aviation and enhance environmental sustainability
  • Gather information from literature and validate results through simulation

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge in wireless communication protocols
  • Programming skills in Python3
  • Proficiency in English
