The project focuses on wake vortex riding procedures, which aim to reduce fuel use by utilizing the upwash generated by a preceding aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Establish communication link requirements for wake vortex riding procedures, considering factors such as throughput, latency, communication range, cybersecurity, and integration with flight procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the L-band Digital Aeronautical Communications System (LDACS) Air-to-Air protocol.
- Collaborate with the Institute of Communications and Navigation to ensure safe operation of wake vortex riding procedures.
- Almost finished M. Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Knowledge in wireless communication protocols.
- Programming skills in e.g. Python3.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
