Role Overview

The Regional Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in our regional sales framework, responsible for orchestrating comprehensive marketing initiatives tailored to the unique market conditions of the DACH region. This position requires a strategic thinker adept at designing and implementing multi-channel campaigns in both German and English, aimed at engaging potential clients and guiding them from initial awareness to active consideration. The Regional Marketing Lead will operate in the field, closely collaborating with regional Sales teams. This engaging role is bolstered by a global Marketing function that includes Public Relations, Social Media, Digital Advertising, Automation, Distribution, Product Marketing, and Design, ensuring the Regional Marketing Lead is equipped to execute strategies that resonate locally while aligning with our overarching global vision.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Full-Funnel Marketing Campaigns: Develop and implement marketing strategies for the German-speaking regions, focusing on local objectives and encompassing:
    • Creation and execution of full-funnel marketing campaigns in collaboration with Global Product Marketing and Divisional Marketing to transition prospects from awareness to consideration.
    • Development of campaigns across various channels in the local language, including sponsored content, paid social media, webinars, search engines, and local PR initiatives.
    • Production and management of campaign materials such as articles, advertising creatives, sponsored content, market research reports, and landing pages.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Collaborate with Sales to identify and engage key accounts, aligning ABM strategies with business objectives.
  • Measure and enhance ABM performance through dashboards to monitor KPIs and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Promote ABM processes, ensuring alignment and support from regional sales and leadership teams.

Sales Engagement and Alignment:

  • Align objectives and efforts between Sales and Marketing as an integral part of the Regional Sales function, focusing on shared goals, target markets, and metrics.
  • Oversee lead management from marketing initiatives to sales actions, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with sales processes while maintaining transparency regarding pipeline impact.
  • Incorporate sales materials provided by the Product Marketing team to support the regional sales team and enhance their selling capabilities.
  • Train sales teams on the latest marketing initiatives and the effective use of marketing materials in their sales processes.
  • Assist Sales colleagues in leveraging social media and brand development.
  • Collect feedback from sales teams on messaging and go-to-market strategies, sharing insights with Product Marketing.

Events, Branding, and Regional PR:

  • Plan and manage regional participation in events and conferences, including owned, hosted, and third-party events with the support of our Events Specialist.
  • Coordinate event logistics, promotional materials, and follow-up strategies to maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Integrate product launches and other significant milestones into event planning to ensure regional relevance.
  • Enhance brand visibility within the region through targeted marketing campaigns and regional PR efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Global PR Manager on localized public relations activities, including media outreach and influencer partnerships.
  • Utilize local media, communities, and event opportunities for brand promotion and product showcases.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of B2B marketing experience, particularly in Field Marketing/Account-Based Marketing (ABM).
  • Experience in the financial services and/or financial technology sectors is essential.
  • Proven track record in marketing to C-Suite and key decision-makers in technology/IT, innovation, finance, operations, and ESG departments.
  • Highly proactive, confident, and creative, with the ability to build strong relationships with sales teams and execute comprehensive ABM plans.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting swiftly in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective relationship management at all organizational levels.
  • Technologically savvy, with a keen interest in emerging technologies and digital trends to drive innovative marketing strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of prioritizing and executing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A collaborative team player who values knowledge sharing and best practices, with a positive attitude and the ability to inspire enthusiasm for projects.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written German and English.
