Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager Trainer to lead the development, design, and facilitation of learning solutions for Regional Sales Managers throughout our EMEA region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building the leadership and technical competencies required of sales managers, ensuring successful learning content development and deployment, and monitoring the effectiveness of training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a sales manager level curriculum and training program, aligning with key sales objectives.
  • Design and develop strategic plans for training programs, including content for new hire training, advanced training, and ongoing leadership development.
  • Develop course descriptions, learning modules, and training programs, utilizing information from subject matter experts to deliver training in an effective manner.
  • Oversee workflow management for design and development projects, triage and assess functional training projects, and make suggestions for project planning, scheduling, and feasibility.
  • Work with Field Sales Leadership to set training evaluation goals and manage expectations, aligning with Sales Operations to determine specific metrics and measurements to assess the success of training activities.
  • Facilitate training programs for new hire Regional Sales Managers and maintain and enhance learning content in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Leverage best practices, design ideas, and technologies for blended learning methods, ensuring incorporation of adult learning principles and cutting-edge learning methods and technology.
  • Coach and mentor matrix team members, provide direction to trainees and other stakeholders, and create a positive and motivating environment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Professional Medical Education, and Global Commercial Operations, to create and implement long-term training plans to ensure business goals are being achieved.
  • Apply standard business procedures to training design, including SOPs, ICH, Global Regulations, Ethics, and Compliance.
  • Implement established life-cycle management of learning assets and collaborate with Instructional Design Manager to ensure content on the LMS supports the training and corporate strategies.
  • Provide ongoing communication regarding training programs and initiatives throughout the organization and regularly research and incorporate new and relevant training approaches and industry best practices to create and maintain a best-in-class training program.
Requirements
  • Significant hands-on experience in training within pharmaceutical/biotech training positions or consultancy.
  • Highly skilled at navigating complex, fast-paced, and matrix organizations.
  • Proficiency with coaching models, people-coaching skills, and application of adult learning principles.
  • Biotech/Medical Device/Pharmaceutical field sales training experience.
  • Facilitation experience with audiences of all sizes and cultures, internal and external.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. German, Spanish, and/or French is highly desirable.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Writing Skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications (DiSC, Strengths, Situational Leadership, Integrity Selling).
  • Working knowledge of metrics and analytics for learning effectiveness.
  • Working knowledge in Qualtrics, Tableau, and IBM SPSS.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of related experience.
Travel Requirements
  • EMEA region.
