Global Wax Additives Product Strategist

Key Responsibilities

Join us in a dynamic role – Spearhead the expansion and enhancement of BYK's global wax additives segment by boosting profitability through strategic pricing initiatives in essential business areas, focusing on both core and adjacent strategic markets. Your specific duties will include:

Formulating and refining a portfolio strategy aimed at sustainable growth in line with the business unit, market trends, and technological advancements. Overseeing and fine-tuning the product portfolio to align with market demands, pricing strategies, technical specifications, performance metrics, and innovations, while simplifying the existing product range. Managing the innovation pipeline for the segment and collaborating closely with R&D to prioritize innovation projects based on financial forecasts and strategic alignment. Collaborating with a cross-functional team to ensure the product portfolio satisfies customer requirements and is competitively positioned in the market, facilitating early market acceptance for new offerings and accelerating market penetration. Tracking regional market demand and identifying capacity requirements, as well as products to prioritize; developing relevant business cases to support investments in new products and capacity enhancements. Crafting a comprehensive marketing strategy for the portfolio, based on thorough analyses and market trends. Assisting the end-use organization in leveraging the product portfolio and proactively aiding the commercial team in discovering new opportunities and enhancing our value proposition and market presence.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess – Extensive technical and commercial experience in the wax additives sector, particularly in product management, sales, or business development, along with exceptional networking and communication skills. Additional qualifications include:

A university degree in a scientific, technical, or business discipline. Specialized knowledge in chemistry is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. Familiarity with SAP and reporting systems is a plus. Strong data analysis, planning, and demonstrated strategic and analytical problem-solving abilities. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Proficiency in German and/or English, both written and spoken; Dutch is a plus. Resilience, determination, and negotiation skills are essential.
