BASF is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomic Modeler to join our Agricultural Solutions division. As a key member of our team, you will develop cutting-edge models for agricultural, environmental, and biological processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and embed models into decision support systems for crop health management, including pests, diseases, and weeds.
  • Enhance field-specific decision logics for farmers and advisors.
  • Drive the global model development, validation, and calibration pipeline automation.
  • Align with agronomy experts and developers worldwide to define development and modeling capabilities.
  • Define data needs for model development and validation trials and monitor in-season model performance.

Requirements:

  • PhD or master's degree with a proven professional track record.
  • In-depth knowledge in phytopathology, R&D management, model development, statistics, and relevant analysis methods.
  • Proficient in programming languages, including Python, and experience with databases.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
