Senior Agronomic Modeler

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Agronomic Modeler to join our team at actcon GmbH in Cologne, Germany. As a key member of our modeling team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing state-of-the-art models for agricultural, environmental, and biological processes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and embed models into decision support systems for crop health management, including pests, diseases, and weeds.
- Enhance field-specific decision logics for farmers and advisors.
- Drive the global model development, validation, and calibration pipeline automation.
- Align with agronomy experts and developers worldwide to define development and modeling capabilities.
- Define data needs for model development and validation trials and monitor in-season model performance.
- PhD or master's degree with a proven professional track record.
- Profound experience in model development with programming language Python (Java is a plus).
- Knowledge in phytopathology desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
