Job Summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Mission Technologies Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for devising cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and evaluating spending operations to improve product quality and timeliness of deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • Conduct cost analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses.
  • Supervise the purchasing team and work closely with the legal department to ensure favorable contract terms.
  • Ensure stringent adherence to procurement guidelines, acquisition best practices, and contract management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Access and utilize the WISE system to initiate and process purchase requests.

Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 8 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance.
