Job Summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to support a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within our Mission Technologies Division. This position will be based at a global Army training site in Germany, contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, continuously evaluating and improving vendor performance.
  • Conduct thorough spending operations analysis to identify opportunities for product quality improvement and delivery enhancement.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless flow of goods and services, impacting performance.
  • Conduct cost analyses, setting benchmarks for improvement and developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses due to product shortages.
  • Supervise the purchasing team and collaborate with the legal department to ensure favorable contract terms.
  • Ensure strict adherence to procurement guidelines, acquisition best practices, and contract management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Access and utilize the WISE system to initiate and process purchase requests.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 8 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance.
