Position Overview
The SAP Solution Manager Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the SAP Solution Manager environment. This position is vital for optimizing operations, managing IT services, and supporting the lifecycle of projects and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Solution Manager Oversight: Direct the configuration, customization, and daily operations of the SAP Solution Manager environment, including Focused Build, Change Request Management (ChaRM), Solution Documentation, Test Suite, and IT Service Management.
- Technical Support: Provide both functional and technical support, troubleshooting issues within the SAP Solution Manager environment and its add-ons, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance.
- Training and Development: Deliver training and guidance to team members on SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance SAP processes and systems, keeping abreast of the latest technologies and updates in SAP Solution Manager.
- Governance and Compliance: Manage ChaRM processes in alignment with stakeholders, including other systems, AMS teams, rollout managers, developers, testers, and key users.
- Change Management: Collaborate on change management objectives and support the AMS Service manager in Release Management.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in IT roles, with at least 3 years specifically working with SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices, including ChaRM, ITSM, and Test Suite. Experience in SAP Basis is advantageous.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage complex systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience: Living experience in Europe and professional experience in a European-based organization.
