Role Overview
The SAP Solution Manager Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and enhancing the SAP Solution Manager framework. This position focuses on leveraging SAP Solution Manager to optimize business operations, oversee IT services, and facilitate project and application lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Solution Manager Oversight: Administer the configuration, customization, and routine management of the SAP Solution Manager environment, encompassing Focused Build, Change Request Management (ChaRM), Solution Documentation, Test Suite, and IT Service Management.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Deliver both functional and technical support while diagnosing issues within the SAP Solution Manager ecosystem, ensuring its stability, security, and efficiency. Conduct regular system health assessments, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to team members regarding the functionalities and best practices associated with SAP Solution Manager.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements to SAP processes and systems, remaining informed about the latest technological advancements and updates in SAP Solution Manager.
- Governance and Stakeholder Alignment: Manage the governance of SolMan ChaRM by coordinating with stakeholders, including connected systems, AMS teams, rollout managers, developers, testers, and key users.
- Change Management Coordination: Collaborate on change management objectives, expectations, and outcomes, supporting the AMS Service manager in Release Management activities.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years in IT or technology roles, with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience working with SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of SAP Solution Manager functionalities and best practices, including ChaRM, ITSM, and Test Suite. Familiarity with SAP Basis is a plus.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively manage complex systems and challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide effective training and support.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- International Experience: Experience living in Europe and working within a European-based organization.
