Position Summary:
As a Junior Project Manager, you will be the primary operational leader for day-to-day agency activities, earning the trust and reliance of your team in managing accounts and internal processes.
You will oversee projects from initial planning through to creative implementation, acting as a vital link among various departments while maintaining close collaboration with client services. Your understanding of client operations will drive efficient partnerships between the agency and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
Lead the planning, communication, organization, and execution of project deliverables. Develop and manage project scopes, monitor for scope changes, and implement necessary updates. Facilitate agency/client workflow by creating comprehensive multichannel timelines and maintaining internal status reports. Ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle, including conducting internal status meetings and managing project documentation. Address concerns and observations with the client service team to enhance operational effectiveness. Collaborate with production specialists as needed, approving production decisions and overseeing delivery and budget management. Cultivate and maintain relationships with new suppliers. Optimize resource utilization and recoverability. Manage file repositories and digital asset management systems, ensuring version control. Organize post-project review meetings to gather feedback for internal and external KPI assessments. Conduct daily internal stand-ups to ensure alignment. Advocate for adherence to internal processes.Financial Management
Oversee project estimates and timelines, ensuring alignment with the Statement of Work (SOW) and securing internal approvals. Monitor budget utilization to prevent overspending. Provide weekly financial health updates for projects. Manage estimates, raise purchase orders, and approve invoices for third-party costs with client service oversight. Report any risks to client service promptly. Participate in monthly financial meetings with client service and finance teams. Add new suppliers to the system as necessary. Reconcile project accounts upon completion.Resource Management
Plan and manage agency resources throughout the project lifecycle. Request necessary studio time for strategy, creative, copy, and design. Lead resource allocation meetings to prevent conflicts and ensure adequate resources. Utilize knowledge of team members' strengths to foster effective collaboration. Ensure appropriate personnel are engaged at each project milestone. Support casting on project briefs.Creative Development
Guide the creative development and production phases, including leading kick-off meetings and creative reviews. Set agendas and outline next steps to solidify team agreements. Assess creative output against project briefs, budgets, and brand guidelines for client service evaluation. Seek cost-effective solutions throughout the creative and production processes. Proactively research and share innovative technology and production solutions to uphold high creative standards. Ensure all concepts and project documentation receive necessary approvals before client presentations. Verify that all creative work is thoroughly proofread prior to client delivery.
