Your Role

We are seeking a Procurement Business Partner to join our Steam, Gas, and Storage team in Düsseldorf. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement strategies and supplier relationships for our energy assets. Your expertise will help us drive business growth, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for our energy assets, including Steam, Gas, and Storage.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across countries to understand business needs and translate them into procurement strategies.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies in close collaboration with business unit managers.
  • Drive initiatives and projects for alignment of procurement services and strategic supplier relationship management with business units.
  • Prepare and run regular reviews of supplier segmentation and supplier engagement plans with business units.
  • Active strategic supplier management to deliver additional value for our business.
  • Responsible for all aspects of strategically important tender processes, including overall sourcing and tender strategies, supplier invitation and selection, negotiation, and implementation of supplier contracts.
  • Key procurement interface for new built projects, interacting with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Your Profile

  • Education in economics, engineering, business administration, or comparable education and equivalent professional experience.
  • Deeper knowledge of the services and products to be sourced is advantageous.
  • Minimum five years of experience in procurement and/or the energy industry with a proven track record of managing larger procurement projects and/or tenders.
  • Ability to convincingly manage a wide range of stakeholders, their conflicting requirements, and cross-functional overlaps.
  • Good analytical mind-set with the ability to translate business needs into requirements for procurement and supplier base.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to identify and escalate critical topics.
  • International work experience, appreciation of cultural differences, and teamplay; mobility/willingness to travel internationally in Europe.
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent German and English, knowledge of additional languages would be a plus.
