At Uniper, we are at the forefront of transforming the energy landscape while ensuring a reliable energy supply. Our Procurement team, focusing on Hydrogen, Renewables, and Asset Growth, is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager for Sustainable Assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business unit leaders to convert their needs into actionable procurement strategies, planning, and supplier management.
- Strategically manage suppliers to enhance value for our organization; this includes developing and executing supplier engagement plans, identifying new suppliers aligned with business objectives, and fostering supplier-based innovation and partnerships.
- Oversee strategic tendering processes, including the formulation of specific tender strategies, supplier invitations, selection, negotiations, and contract implementations for technical components and services.
- Serve as the Project Procurement Lead (PPL), acting as the primary contact for all procurement-related matters within Uniper projects, while collaborating with other procurement functions.
- Drive initiatives in partnership with business units focusing on sustainability, innovation, safety, and cost efficiency, while leveraging external networks to create new solutions for Uniper's business needs.
Candidate Profile
- A strong educational background in engineering, business administration, economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Several years of experience in procurement within the energy, process, or chemical industries, particularly in managing procurement for significant asset projects, with the ability to navigate diverse stakeholder requirements.
- A solid analytical mindset capable of translating business needs into procurement and supplier management requirements, complemented by strong communication and project management skills.
- International experience with an understanding of cultural nuances and a willingness to travel.
- Proficient communication skills in fluent English are essential; knowledge of additional languages, especially German, is advantageous.
