About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Layout Engineer to join our team in Siegen, Germany. As a Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the layout of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize the layout of manufacturing facilities to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with industrial managers and process engineers to identify and evaluate potential manufacturing process improvements
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce production costs
- Work closely with the tooling engineer to integrate specific equipment, tooling, machines, and workstations into the manufacturing process
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and ergonomics rules
- Lead the installation of workstations and assembly lines, and ensure the good respect of EHS standards and ergonomics rules
Requirements
- Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing or Plant Maintenance background with 5 years' experience preferably in the railway industry
- Technical experience of Process & Manufacturing Engineering
- Good practice of CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA...)
- Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics
- Familiar with IS common tools
- Process FMEA, QRQC
- Technical education. Mechanics. Automation.
- English read, written, spoken
