About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Layout Engineer to join our team at Alstom in Siegen. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient layouts for our bogie production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential manufacturing process footprints and evaluate their impact on existing activities.
  • Evaluate the total cost of the layout, broken down into study, realization, and other categories.
  • Perform layout studies, write functional specifications, and obtain approval from relevant stakeholders.
  • Design and integrate specific equipment, tooling, machines, and workstations.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards and ergonomics rules.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the railway industry. You should have excellent technical skills, including CAD and PLM tools, and experience with process FMEA and QRQC. Strong communication and teamwork skills are also essential.
