Bruker provides specialized, high-value life science and diagnostic systems and solutions in preclinical imaging, clinical phenomics research, proteomics and multiomics, spatial and single-cell biology, functional structural and condensate biology, as well as in clinical microbiology and molecular diagnostics.
We are seeking an Animal Handling Solutions and Collaboration Specialist (m/w/d) to join our team.
The Animal Handling Solutions and Collaboration Specialist plays a hybrid role that supports (i) Bruker's research and development in enhancing the product portfolio of animal handling solutions and (ii) facilitates R&D and marketing collaborative projects in preclinical imaging.
As a member of the PCI Product Management team, the Animal Handling Solutions Specialist contributes to the successful development and launch of products that improve imaging research involving animals across various modalities. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, understanding customer requirements, and translating them into product specifications.
The Collaboration Specialist aspect of the role involves nurturing collaborative initiatives, managing the preclinical imaging customer collaboration portfolio, and ensuring effective communication among the involved teams.
Responsibilities
Animal Handling Solution Support:
Product Strategy and Vision: Align the product portfolio of in vivo imaging animal accessories across modalities (currently PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, Optical Imaging). Market and Customer Insights: Engage with researchers, veterinarians, and laboratory staff to gather insights on animal handling needs and challenges. Product Lifecycle Support: Translate customer needs into product specifications. Collaborate with application, market product management, R&D, service, and quality assurance teams to create detailed product specifications. Lead smaller development projects. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards related to animal welfare and safety. Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback. Monitor product pricing and margins and suggest price adjustments as necessary. Marketing and Training: Plan and execute sales and application training, and customer education. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop compelling marketing materials. Technical Support: Work with sales and customer support to address inquiries and provide technical assistance.Customer Collaboration Support:
Collaboration Portfolio Management: Oversee the PCI collaboration portfolio and align collaborative projects with BBIO's goals and strategy. Regularly report on the status of the collaboration portfolio, including challenges and achievements. Contract Management & Compliance: Collaborate with Legal, Intellectual Property, and Compliance teams to establish clear agreements that comply with applicable laws and regulations. Support contract negotiations with scientific partners and their legal departments and technology transfer offices. Maintain records of all contracts in BBIO's contract management tool. Project Coordination: Facilitate communication between BBIO teams and partners. Support BBIO and partner teams in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need:
Degree (Diplom/Master's) 1-2 years of relevant work experience Knowledge of preclinical imaging applications, particularly PET, MRI, CT, Optical Imaging (Advanced) Experience with direct animal experimentation (EU Function A, D / C (formerly FELASA B/C or equivalent)) Proficient in English (C1 level) and German (min. B2 level) Experience with collaboration and grant agreements (Basic) Customer-facing experience (Advanced) Project Management Skills (Advanced) Sales & Marketing experience (Basic) Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (Basic) Familiarity with SAP (Basic) Proficient in Microsoft 365 (MS-Office) (Expert) Strong conflict management skills, excellent communication abilities, resilience, and a sense of responsibility.If this opportunity aligns with your expertise, we look forward to receiving your application.
