We are currently seeking an Animal Handling Solutions and Collaborations Specialist (m/w/d) to join our team.
The Animal Handling Solutions and Collaborations Specialist is a hybrid position that supports (i) Bruker's R&D efforts in developing the product range of animal handling solutions and (ii) facilitates R&D and marketing collaboration projects in preclinical imaging.
As a member of the PCI Product Management team, the Animal Handling Solutions Specialist plays a crucial role in the successful development and launch of products that enhance imaging research involving animals across various modalities. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, understanding customer requirements, and translating them into actionable product specifications.
The Collaboration Specialist aspect of the role involves nurturing collaborative initiatives, managing the preclinical imaging customer collaboration portfolio, and ensuring effective communication among all involved teams.
Responsibilities
Animal Handling Solution Support:
- Product Strategy and Vision: Align the product portfolio of in vivo imaging animal accessories across modalities (currently PET, SPECT, CT, MRI, Optical Imaging).
- Market and Customer Insights: Engage with researchers, veterinarians, and laboratory staff to gather insights on animal handling needs and challenges.
- Product Lifecycle Support: Translate customer needs into product specifications. Collaborate with application, market product management, R&D, service, and quality assurance teams to create detailed product specifications. Lead smaller development projects, ensure compliance with regulatory standards regarding animal welfare and safety, monitor product performance, and iterate based on user feedback. Assess product pricing and margins and recommend adjustments as necessary.
- Marketing and Training: Plan and implement sales and application training, as well as customer education. Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging marketing materials.
- Technical Support: Collaborate with sales and customer support to address inquiries and provide technical assistance.
Customer Collaboration Support:
- Collaboration Portfolio Management: Oversee the PCI collaboration portfolio and align collaborative projects with BBIO's strategic goals. Regularly report on the status of the collaboration portfolio, including challenges and achievements.
- Contract Management & Compliance: Work with Legal, Intellectual Property, and Compliance teams to establish clear agreements that adhere to applicable laws and regulations. Support contract negotiations with scientific partners and their legal departments and technology transfer offices. Maintain records of all contracts in BBIO's contract management system.
- Project Coordination: Facilitate communication between BBIO teams and partners. Assist BBIO and partner teams in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need:
- A degree (Diplom/Master's) in a relevant field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience.
- Advanced knowledge of preclinical imaging applications, particularly PET, MRI, CT, and Optical Imaging.
- Experience with direct animal experimentation (EU Function A, D / C).
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) and German (minimum B2 level).
- Basic understanding of collaboration and grant agreements.
- Advanced customer-facing experience.
- Strong project management skills.
- Basic sales and marketing experience.
- Basic knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management.
- Familiarity with SAP (Basic).
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 (MS-Office).
- Excellent conflict management and communication skills, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility.
