Role Overview

In the capacity of Lead Marketing Data Strategist, you will be pivotal in aligning the data and analytical requirements of our Marketing, CRM, and Local Market teams. Your expertise will facilitate the transformation of data insights into actionable strategies for our Data Foundations team. Additionally, you will empower our marketing teams to make informed decisions and refine our campaigns through your analytical insights.

In your first year, you will:
  • Assist in establishing a robust data foundation for Marketing Analytics at AMBOSS.
  • Serve as the primary resource for our marketing and commercial teams, generating insights that drive marketing objectives and identify growth avenues.
  • Evaluate and provide insights on cross-channel marketing initiatives and individual channel effectiveness (Performance Marketing, CRM, Organic) to optimize the allocation of marketing budgets and resources.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and enhance ROI.
  • Guide teams in setting up A/B testing and analyze outcomes to derive actionable insights.
  • Empower marketing teams by designing dashboards and reports that enable them to independently track and comprehend the performance of their primary channels and campaigns.
  • Revise our definitions of marketing channels and attribution to align with our strategic objectives.
  • Utilize web/app tracking solutions (e.g., GTM), Google Analytics, SQL, and data visualization tools to deliver actionable insights and compelling data narratives.
  • Implement data solutions that connect various marketing technologies with our overarching data strategy.
  • Gather marketing analytics requests from stakeholders, prioritize key opportunities, and provide actionable analyses.
  • Effectively communicate findings to business leaders to ensure alignment of marketing analytics priorities with organizational goals.
You bring:
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, ideally with a strong background in marketing technology and online marketing within a SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics, SQL, and data visualization/BI tools (Looker is advantageous).
  • Strong proficiency in web/app tracking using GTM or similar tools.
  • Proven ability in data storytelling and translating complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Project management capabilities to lead analytics initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with a structured and analytical approach to tasks.
  • A collaborative spirit, fostering connections between data, marketing, CRM, and Market teams.
  • A proactive mindset focused on enhancing marketing efforts and demonstrating the financial impact of marketing strategies.
