Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Marketing Data Strategist (all genders) to become a vital part of our Business Intelligence and Marketing Analytics (BIMA) team. This is a global role that will engage with our brands across numerous countries while implementing strategies from our headquarters.

The BIMA team is integral to the Global Marketing division, focusing on central Business Intelligence and marketing analytics. Our mission is to propel marketing initiatives through data-driven solutions and strategic insights, ensuring sustainable growth. We spearhead strategic projects such as customer segmentation, marketing ROI assessment, and support executive leadership in making informed decisions across all brands.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Marketing Data Strategist will enhance our marketing approaches through insightful data analysis and advanced analytics. This position will collaborate closely with marketing leaders, product teams, data science experts, and regional analytics teams to evaluate marketing performance and refine our acquisition and retention strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leveraging analytics to deliver actionable insights regarding marketing performance.
  • Designing and executing A/B testing and other experimental frameworks to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
  • Developing tools, KPI frameworks, and reports to assess the ROI of marketing expenditures, continuously monitoring and guiding marketing investments across various channels to maximize returns.
  • Creating statistical models to forecast customer lifetime value, evaluate customer acquisition costs (CAC), and utilizing analytics to lower CAC while enhancing LTV.
  • Analyzing and refining customer segmentation to inform targeting strategies in local markets and boost customer retention.
  • Collaborating with marketing, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on data requirements and establish global guidelines for data collection and utilization.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.
Qualifications

Your exceptional skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing analytics, particularly in user retention for technology-oriented consumer-facing companies.
  • Strong expertise in analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Big Query, Google Analytics, Tableau, SQL, Python/R).
  • Outstanding analytical abilities with a knack for translating data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with A/B testing, attribution modeling, and various experimental design methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and strategies, including CRM, paid search, social media, and content marketing.
Additional Information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in agile development and methodologies.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, business, or related fields.
  • Expertise in establishing and implementing naming conventions and tagging strategies to ensure data consistency within a global organization. Familiarity with market mix modeling.
