Job Title: ESG Compliance Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESG Compliance Officer to join our team at Deutsche Börse AG. As an ESG Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company complies with all relevant ESG-related regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor the effectiveness of our human rights-related due diligence measures, ensuring compliance with Section 4 (3) of the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains.
  • Act as a first point of contact for various group entities, bodies, and areas affected by the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring necessary reporting to the Human Rights Officer.
  • Plan, execute, and document monitoring and control activities related to implemented processes and provisions in compliance with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains.
  • Support the development of due diligence measures, including preventive and corrective measures, to manage risks considered insufficiently covered.
  • Report regularly to relevant stakeholders, including the Human Rights Officer, on the fulfillment of due diligence obligations and potential risks and violations identified.
  • Support the implementation of dedicated ESG-related requirements, such as CSRD, affecting Group Compliance.
  • Perform impact analyses of new and emerging regulatory requirements, supporting the group-wide identification of implementing responsibility and taking additional compliance-related tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • University degree in compliance, law, business administration, or economics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional work experience in the field of compliance.
  • Profound knowledge of relevant ESG- and CSR-related requirements and regulatory legislations for financial sector companies.
  • Strong writing, conceptual, and methodological skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a matrix organization within a multicultural and multi-location, international environment with high levels of initiative, commitment, and motivation.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt to different types of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English is a must.
  • Dedication and flexibility, as well as competent handling of MS Office applications.
