Job Title: ESG Compliance Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ESG Compliance Officer to join our team at Deutsche Börse AG. As an ESG Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company complies with all relevant ESG-related regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor the effectiveness of our human rights-related due diligence measures, ensuring compliance with the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains.
  • Act as a liaison between various group entities, bodies, and areas affected by the Act, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and control activities to ensure compliance with ESG-related regulations and standards.
  • Support the development of due diligence measures, including preventive and corrective measures, to manage risks associated with human rights violations.
  • Report regularly to relevant stakeholders on the fulfillment of due diligence obligations and potential risks and violations identified.
  • Support the implementation of ESG-related requirements, such as the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Requirements:
  • University degree in compliance, law, business administration, or economics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional work experience in the field of compliance.
  • Profound knowledge of ESG-related requirements and regulatory legislations applicable to financial sector companies.
  • Strong writing, conceptual, and methodological skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a matrix organization within a multicultural and multi-location, international environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
