Job Title: Software Engineer Backend Commerce Platform

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at STACKIT, a leading cloud and colocation provider. As a Software Engineer Backend Commerce Platform, you will play a key role in the development and operation of our cloud infrastructure, focusing on the Commerce Platform domain.

About the Role

As a member of our small, cross-functional team, you will be responsible for everything from concept, design, and implementation to operation. You will work closely with the product owner to develop the product strategy, collect requirements, and plan technical implementation. Your tasks will include developing migration strategies, implementing them, and supporting and consulting our product teams with the connection of metering and billing systems.

Your Profile

We are looking for team players with a warm heart and an open mind who like to challenge the status quo and constantly develop themselves and their team. You should feel comfortable in a young and dynamically growing company, even though there is not yet a process for everything. Agile software development is your thing, as is enthusiasm for cloud technologies. You should be strong in working conceptually and express your thoughts and ideas in writing.

Requirements
  • Experience in developing distributed and business-critical systems
  • Proficiency in Go and/or other languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Rust
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Helm
  • Experience with different database types, especially PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with event-based systems and necessary technologies
