The Vestas Service Offshore division oversees all aspects related to the management and upkeep of offshore wind farms across Northern and Central Europe. With over 4 GW currently under service agreements, we are on a path of continuous expansion in our operations and workforce.
As part of this dynamic journey, you will be among the first to manage the latest and largest generation of Vestas offshore wind turbines, specifically the V-236. You will be integrated into a new SOV-based team for the He Dreiht wind farm, which comprises 64x V MW turbines, totaling a capacity of 960MW, located in the German North Sea.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all offshore operational activities
- Manage and develop personnel within the team
- Plan and assess production performance
- Develop and implement servicing and maintenance schedules
- Uphold conduct, discipline, and cultural standards on the SOV
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
- Facilitate technical discussions, team meetings, and strategic initiatives
- Manage crew interfaces on the SOV
- Develop contingency plans for vessel operations
- Control and manage wind farm downtime
- Promote and nurture a robust safety culture
- Conduct turbine inspections, safety audits, and walkthroughs
- Focus on continuous improvement regarding service efficiency and duration
- Engage in daily briefings and toolbox discussions
- Coordinate upgrade campaign planning
- Act as the primary point of escalation for offshore or vessel-related challenges
- Supervise subcontractor management onboard the vessel
- Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
- Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical systems, particularly in wind or offshore environments, including high voltage systems
- At least 2 years in a similar leadership role
- Valid driver's license
- Proficient in IT applications (preferably SAP, MS Office)
- Proactive in decision-making
- Strong focus on safety and quality
- Accountable and responsible for operational success
- A supportive leader who fosters team development
- Ability to simplify tasks and ensure effective delivery
- Comfortable working in offshore conditions and at heights
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to enhancing service quality
- Motivated by contributing to a high-performing team that prioritizes excellence for customer satisfaction
- Aware of personal limitations and willing to seek assistance when necessary
