Subsurface Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Subsurface Procurement Specialist to join our team at Wintershall Dea. This role is essential in executing defined category strategies and ensuring the effective management of procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement activities outlined in category strategies, including the finalization of specifications and establishment of commercial terms.
  • Oversee tendering processes, assess proposals, engage in negotiations, and develop contract templates.
  • Facilitate procurement for smaller-scale projects and operational needs, formulate project procurement strategies, and address non-conformities.
  • Articulate procurement strategies and guarantee business continuity.
  • Manage purchase-to-pay transactions, monitor contract performance, and resolve disputes and claims.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of relevant vocational education or a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • A proactive team player with strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and systematic approach to work.
  • Familiarity with sub-surface markets and categories.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and adept negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in both English and German.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Commitment to adhering to company health, safety, and environmental policies.
