Analyst in Risk Controlling (m/f/d)

The Risk Controlling Team, a central unit within the Risk Management Department responsible for all risk controlling, monitoring, as well as methodological and procedural tasks, is seeking a new member to assist with the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc risk reporting for the Funds, including monitoring timelines and coordinating inputs.
  • Monitoring and controlling risk diversification limits for all Funds in accordance with Issue Documents and Fund policies.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including coordinating regular external Fund audits.
  • Preparing and coordinating regular risk committee meetings.
  • Contributing to and coordinating workstreams in projects related to risk management tools, processes, or systems.
  • Maintaining and providing user support for Risk Management systems, tools, and databases.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and documenting new and existing internal and cross-departmental procedures.
  • Contributing to the development, testing, calibration, and validation of risk management models and methodologies.

What we expect:

  • A university degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in risk management, risk reporting, data management, system analysis, and/or business process optimization within the banking or asset management sector (including internships).
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with financial accounting practices of banks and/or other financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in the R language for data analysis and automation (or equivalent experience in Python).
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL), with additional skills in VBA / DAX / Power Query being advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Strong team motivation, a hands-on approach, coupled with a diligent, proactive working attitude and an open communication style.
