Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Operations
    • Support the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
    • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and maintaining compliance with company policies.
    • Manage vendor relationships and handle payments.
  • Financial Accuracy
    • Reconcile incoming and outgoing payments daily, reviewing credit card statements and assisting with bank account reconciliations.
    • Ensure the accuracy of financial information by reviewing and verifying data.
  • Support to the Finance Manager
    • Assist the Finance Manager in various tasks, including cash disbursement approvals and vendor onboarding.
    • Step in during the Finance Manager's absence to ensure continuity of financial operations.
Requirements
  • Experience and Skills
    • Knowledge of double-entry accounting principles and practices.
    • Experience with foreign currency payments is highly desirable.
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general desktop skills.
    • Ability to represent the company professionally and accurately record and input financial information.
  • Education and Training
    • Accounting or business degree or above, with a strong interest in pursuing an accounting professional qualification.
    • Actively planning to study or already committed to studying towards an accounting professional qualification, such as AAT, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Language
    • Fluent in English and German.
